Before it all began..

'You can't pull a bus through Cheadle!'

It's amazing what you can do when someone says you can't!

It's also safe to say, I did pull a bus through Cheadle, with a little help from my friends from work...

Cheadle's Bus Pull for Children in Need

FUNdraising

I'll never forget the day my boss asked me if I'd like to take over the charity events in work. I nearly fell off my chair! The first things running through my mind was a funfair in the car park, I mean I did do a bake sale but I just had to recreate a bus pull. A few decades ago I used to take part in the annual Francis House Truck Pull through Didsbury, as they say 'those were the days' and ones I'll always treasure. They were SO much fun!!

We held another in 2016 for Barnabus, pulling the double decker from Cheadle to Didsbury. I am yet to do it again but I would love nothing more. If you're looking to fundraise with a difference, a bus may be all you need!

Work Experience

Since 2015

The Makers Market

PopUp Painting

Cocktailsn'Canvas

I have had so many arts and craft type stalls at the market, usually there with the Cheadle Civic Society. I also managed the market for approx 3 years pre lockdown! While I had somewhat always been an Artist, it wasn't until my little girl told me I could be one that I took upon the title. After joining PopUp Painting I fully embraced the role and still host painting workshops now and again, on the green, at the market and with Cocktails n' Canvas.

2015 - 2017

'Back to school'

Once I left my 9-5 and joined the community world, I went as I called it 'back to school' to study Events and Business Management. I definitely think that hands on experience makes all the difference, but it was a great to learn all aspects of events and who and what inspires me to create my own.

Pre 2015

Human Resources

Recruitment & Training

Sales / Customer Service

Hospitality & Hairdressing

While my very first job was with The Wacky Warehouse, I grew up working for my entrepreneurial mum at her Hair & Beauty Salon. From then I had various roles in restaurants and bars in Didsbury, and before we moved to Cheadle I worked in Sales, Debt Management and Personal Injury. After my children were born my career in HR began. I loved every part of it, especially my fundraising addition. From this I knew I wanted to work in the community interest sector, doing my part and bringing some joy to the mundane.

Art by Natalie Rose

First and foremost I am an Artist. I love to host art workshops to share that creativity with others and creating art that people take home is definitely a part of those magical moments!

ARTIST

Apart from the pre-booked Art Workshops, I aim to host another Art Exhibition in the coming year or so, and hopefully have my online Art Store up and running again. I have so many beautiful paintings to re-home and yet the hardest part is letting some of these go! And that's why I always prefer a commission. Not only is it personalised to you, it is made for you!

If you are looking for a unique painting, programme or poster, get in touch to discuss availability.

My art work will be available on here soon. For now check out the events link for when the next workshop is on and email if you'd like us to host one for you!

EVENT PLANNER

If you are looking to host your own outdoor cinema event and don't know where to start, look no further!

We can bring the screen to you and host your very own magical moments movie night at your venue.

Depending on when and where, we're sometimes are able to support the funding of these events and we look to host one or two of these a year.

That and of course, depending on availability we can help co-create your very own celebration, mini festival or fundraiser.

COLLABORATOR

Although a lot of my work is solo led, I love collaborating with other entrepreneurs and small businesses, in teams and with locals to co-create events and creative communications. I most recently co-created Cheadle Spring Festival with the Art in the Park team and look forward to joining forces again for our Summer Shindigs!

We have also joined in other festivals to bring Cinema on the Green to their celebrations, including Heaton's Big Summer Weekend and our very own Cheadle Fest.

If you'd like to work together or see if we can bring the movie magic to your community, club or back garden party, get in touch today!

'This will be the best adventure you've ever been on! I've known Natalie for about five years. I've worked with her on events, on projects, I've learned from her about perseverance, gratitude, friendship and professionalism. I'm proud to now call her a friend. She supports me and my work, generously sharing ideas and makes a success of everything she does because of her resilience and enthusiasm. Getting involved in anything Natalie does will bring you joy'
